Mariam Liaquat

Mariam is a trainee lawyer at our Karachi office. Prior to joining, she gained valuable experience working with several leading law firms across Pakistan, where she assisted in corporate and commercial matters. Her work also includes exposure to labour and employment law, foreign exchange regulations, and both civil and criminal litigation.

She has also worked as a legal researcher with an international legal technology firm based in Dubai, contributing to comparative research across multiple jurisdictions and supporting the integration of legal content into AI-based solutions. In addition, she has been engaged with the Centre of Law, Justice and Policy, conducting extensive research and analysis for academic projects.

Mariam has authored research paper and articles on topics including international humanitarian law, domestic violence legislation, and a dissertation on abolishing capital punishment in Pakistan in the lens of England and Wales.

She likes reading, writing and art.

She speaks English and Urdu.
